1. For regular cleaning up of carpet, it is advised to use a vacuum cleaner with a good suction facility to remove dust from inside the piles. Using a hard brush to clean the carpet can damage the piles and also reduce its life.
2. Use immediately a piece of dry cloth or tissue paper to soak out the fluid from the carpet if any liquid spills over it accidentally. Just use a simple wet cloth to wipe the residue if the nature of the stain is water-soluble. Please take care not to rub too hard.
3. You can use detergent and water to clean the water-soluble minor stains if they are at the border area of the carpet. However, it is the risk of spreading the stains on the other part of the carpet if you apply this method to clean the stains on the central portion of the carpet. You may need to clean the whole carpet in that case. Therefore, it needs extra precaution to clean the stains on the central area.
4. Take the assistance of professional carpet cleaner if the stain is rigid or it belongs to petrochemical categories like enamel.
5. You may find different advice from various sources to remove specific kinds of spills or stains on your carpet. But we always advise you to seek the help of professional cleaner if the stain can’t be removed by applying simple water and detergent used in your home. Using different chemicals and applying extra force to remove specific stains can make the case more complicated.
6. Exposure of your carpet to direct sunlight for a long period can cause color fading. Therefore, it is advised to avoid such exposures.
7. If you can’t avoid the sunlight from falling on your carpet, it is advised to change the placement of carpet regularly in such a way that all parts of carpets get equal exposure to sunlight. This way, the carpet fades evenly and doesn’t look very ugly.
8. Cotton strings are used in the warp and weft of our carpets to give them enough strength and firmness. Therefore, it is advised not to keep the carpet wet for a long time to avoid those strings from getting rotted. It is also advised not to place a moist flower pot or any other item on the carpet for a long period.
9. The carpet laid on the basement area and other moist places need to be dried in sunlight after a reasonable interval.
10. The life of your carpet might reduce if laid over the place of high foot traffic.
11. Although it is a very rare chance to happen in our type of carpet, it is advised to watch carefully and at regular intervals for the presence of moth in the piece. The moth can be a big menace to your carpet if not handled properly. It is advised to vacuum clean the front part of the carpet every alternate day and also it’s backside at least twice a month. Also, it is necessary to clean the floor where the carpet is laid. This can save the carpet from moth infection to a great extent.
